Logistics specialist, Al Naboodah Logistics LLC, is celebrating a successful conclusion to this year’s Dubai International Motor Show (DIMS), held on 10-14 November in Dubai. In its 13th year, the show is the largest international automotive event across the Middle East and North Africa. It attracts an impressive international audience of over 100,000 motor trade professionals, big-name car manufacturers, and motor enthusiasts.
As the exclusive logistics partner to DIMS, Al Naboodah Logistics LLC handled the shipping and logistics in getting over 100 cars, containers for stand fittings and exhibits for display on the show, while supplying the exhibition stands and promotional materials needed to stage the event. Raed Hiasat, General Manager, Al Naboodah Logistics LLC said, “We are proud to have partnered with Dubai World Trade Centre on a number of shows, including the International Motor Show that sees participation by big companies from four corners of the world.”
Apart from featuring new and future models, the show also exhibits vintage, classic, luxury and sports cars, all of which need extremely careful handling. Reza Ahmed, Operations Manager, Al Naboodah Logistics LLC stated: “We used a number of diverse techniques in transporting and positioning the cars and other exhibits. Cars were brought from and returned to the airport in special closed recovery vehicles. Moreover, our own forklifts, cranes and manpower handled the rest.”
The five-day event is one of the most high-profile, high-powered and high-octane exhibits in the Middle East. The Dubai International Motor Show is hosted as part of the Dubai Motor Festival, which is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
